'Tis The Season To…Get It Together!
Alright, juniors and seniors it’s the holiday season, which means you’ve all made it halfway through the year. Congrats on that! By now seniors, you all should be checking off the time-sensitive tasks on your list. Finishing your FASFA, entering early acceptance applications and securing scholarships. If you’re asking yourself “what list?” check out our guide here. For those of you entering the workforce, now is a perfect time to start networking. Connect with your teachers and others in the community to talk about your ambitions and get the ball rolling on those letters of recommendations. This is a great way to inform others of your upcoming graduation and introduction to the labor force. Your senior year is meant to be filled with experiences that turn into lifelong memories. Don’t let it also be filled with regrets. Push through.
Juniors, you aren’t off the hook. If you are following our guide, you should have taken the SAT/ACT by now and are getting closer to achieving a score that you are comfortable applying to a school with. If this hasn’t happened yet, don’t fret. Click here to view upcoming test dates. Keep in mind that you may be eligible to take the exam for free. See your school guidance counselor for more information, while you’re there check in on your current transcript. If you’ve been turning in community service hours and taking AP tests they should all be accounted for. As I’m sure you’ve heard over and over, this year is critical. Be sure to dot your I’s and cross your T’s.
In the words of Drake “It’s never too late to realize what you want in your life and it’s never wrong to fight for it.” So give yourselves a pat on the back and an extra slice of pie and then get back to work!
